Light:
☀️ Full sun to partial shade. Grows best outdoors in full sun. Indoors, place near a bright window with indirect light.

Water:
💧 Water when the top 2 inches of soil feel dry. Tolerates short dry spells once established. Avoid overwatering—Clusia doesn’t like soggy roots.

Soil:
🌱 Well-draining soil. A sandy or loamy mix with good aeration is ideal. Indoors, use a cactus or succulent potting mix.

Temperature:
🌡️ Prefers warm climates (65–85°F / 18–29°C). Hardy in USDA zones 10–11. Cannot tolerate frost—bring indoors or protect if temps drop.

Humidity:
💦 Moderate to high humidity is ideal. Misting helps indoors, especially during dry seasons.

Fertilizer:
🌼 Use a balanced slow-release fertilizer 2–3 times a year during growing season (spring/summer).

Pruning:
✂️ Prune to shape and size—great as a hedge or privacy screen. Can also be trained as a small tree.

Growth Habit:
🌳 Dense, glossy foliage with thick, leathery leaves. Often used as a hedge, shrub, or indoor ornamental. “Autograph tree” nickname comes from the way you can scratch names into its leaves!
