CHINESE FRINGE FLOWER

  • Light:
☀️ Full sun to partial shade. Chinese Fringe Flower grows best in full sunlight (at least 6 hours/day), which helps promote vibrant foliage color and flowering. It also tolerates partial shade but may flower less.

    Water:
💧 Water regularly, especially during dry spells. Keep the soil evenly moist, but not soggy. Once established, it becomes moderately drought-tolerant. Let the top inch of soil dry out between waterings.

    Soil:
🌱 Well-draining, slightly acidic soil. Prefers fertile, loamy soil with good drainage. Amend soil with compost if needed, and avoid heavy clay or standing water.

    Temperature:
🌡️ Hardy in USDA zones 7–10. It tolerates warm climates well but should be protected from hard frosts. Ideal temperature range is 60°F–85°F (15°C–29°C).

    Humidity:
💦 Tolerates average to high humidity. It does well in both coastal and inland environments.

    Fertilizer:
🌼 Feed in early spring with a balanced slow-release fertilizer. Optionally, apply a second feeding in midsummer to encourage continued blooming.

    Pruning:
✂️ Prune lightly after flowering to shape the plant and encourage bushiness. Avoid heavy pruning in late summer or fall, as it may reduce blooms the following season.

    Flowers:
🌸 Produces frilly, fringe-like blooms in shades of pink, red, or white depending on the variety, typically in spring and occasionally throughout the growing season.
