COCONUT PALM
Light: ☀️ Full sun is a must — Coconut palms need at least 6–8 hours of direct sunlight daily to thrive.
Water: 💧 Water deeply and regularly. Keep the soil consistently moist but well-drained. Do not allow to sit in water.
Soil: 🌱 Sandy, well-draining soil. Coconut palms do best in coastal or tropical soils that don’t retain excess moisture.
Temperature: 🌡️ Tropical plant — prefers warm climates (70–95°F / 21–35°C). Not frost-tolerant. Hardy in USDA zones 10–11.
Humidity: 💦 Loves high humidity. Misting is helpful in drier environments.
Fertilizer: 🌼 Feed with a palm-specific fertilizer rich in potassium and magnesium, 3–4 times per year, especially during the growing season.
Pruning: ✂️ Remove only dead or damaged fronds. Avoid over-pruning — the palm needs a healthy crown to grow well.
Growth Habit: 🌴 Tall, iconic palm tree that can reach up to 60–100 feet in the ground. Slow-growing but long-lived in tropical landscapes.
